🏈 Football Season Finale 🏈 Our boys wrapped up their season with a 66-50 loss to Washburn, but what a ride it was! We couldn’t be more proud of these young men for their hard work and dedication. 💪 A huge thank you to our coaches and everyone who supported the team throughout the season. Your spirit and encouragement made a difference every step of the way! 👏

Hey everyone! The Junior Class (Class of 2026) is selling kringles, and there are 12 delicious flavors to choose from! They're only $13 each, and we're taking orders until November 22. The kringles will arrive by December 10, and the best part is they freeze perfectly, so you can enjoy them whenever you're ready. After an exciting day-long field trip to the woods, the 4th and 5th graders who attended Star last night were back at it again today with just as much energy! 💪🌲 We explored the Project Northwoods Arches Research Area (formerly the Winter Archery Club) and, despite the cooler temps, we spotted FOUR different salamander species from THREE distinct genera—including the state-listed 4-toed salamander! 🦎 We also caught sight of a gartersnake (shoutout to Emilia for spotting it!) 🐍 The kiddos had an amazing day out in nature!"

Each guild member rose to the challenge of creating a quilt inspired by a randomly selected children’s book, and the results were simply stunning! Each quilt perfectly captured the essence of its corresponding story, making it even more special. 📚❤️ Our students were thrilled to receive these treasures, and we know they will enjoy them for years to come. 🎃 Pumpkin Surprise for Our Elementary Students! 🎃 Yesterday, our elementary students were all smiles as they received pumpkins to take home! The joy and excitement on their faces were truly heartwarming. We want to extend a huge thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Mike Kinsley for their generous gift that made this possible. It's moments like these that make our school community special. Happy fall, everyone!

On Saturday, September 21, the Winter chapter of the Lakeland Honor Society hosted the Walk for Tomorrow. Students, staff, and community members walked to support those who struggle with mental health and the families that have been impacted. We plan on making this an annual event. The American Legion Auxilary donated funds to support the walk and other honor society events for the Winter students.

The Sawyer County Health Department will be administering flu vaccines on October 23, 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Winter School District. Consent forms will be sent home with students. Please complete and return them as soon as possible. For more details, please see the flyer below. Stay healthy this season!
